Ayurveda, a Sanskrit word that means “the science of life and longevity”. Ayurveda is the art of daily living in harmony with the laws of nature and the oldest healing system in the world – continues to be the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health system. It offers a deep body of wisdom designed to guide us on the journey toward a vibrant and healthy life, and toward realization of our full potential
It is the profound science of living that encompasses the whole of life and relates the life of the individual to the life of the universe. It is a holistic system of healing in the truest sense. Body, mind and consciousness are in constant interaction and relationship with other people and environment. In working to create health, Ayurveda takes into consideration these different levels of life and their interconnectedness.
Ayurveda is the Yogi’s Life Support System and offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.
Depending on your needs, you will receive advice for the physical and mental bodies, and when interested and ready to go deeper into your sadhana (daily spiritual practice), we will look at your dharma to help you along on your spiritual path. You will receive a daily routine that is right for you, thereby creating the opportunity for your body’s natural intelligence to bring itself back into its happy state of physical and mental balance. Though Ayurveda focuses on preventative health care, it also offers many wonderful remedies for acute and chronic symptoms once health is disturbed or out of balance.
Who is healthy person?
One whose doshas are in balance (Once you have an understanding of the doshas, you might start to realize which is most predominant within yourself – and how to make sure it doesn’t get out of control), whose appetite is good, whose dhatus are functioning normally, whose malas are in balance, and whose physiology, mind and senses are always full of bliss, is called a healthy person.
In Ayurveda, there are two types of medicines: those which promote resistance of the body and promote vitality and those which cure disease. Preventive measures encompass a broad variety of regimens. Swastavritta is personal hygiene; it consists of dinacaya (daily routine) and includes tooth brushing, mouth wash, tongue scraping, bathing, exercising, eating, and sleeping and so on. Ritucarya are the regimens and diet which are to be followed in the different seasons of the year. Sadvritta is a range of social behavior and conduct of the individual based on religious rituals and practices. Rasayana and vajeekarana are the use of rejuvenating and virilizing agents to prevent aging; they impart longevity, immunity against disease and assist in improving mental faculties
Hi! I am Dr Unnati Chavda and I have been practicing Ayurveda since 31 years.
Ayurvedic wisdom in order to heal myself and my family. This has had a profound effect on my health (and on my family’s well-being), helping eradicate my auto-immune symptoms, amplifying my level of energy and my immunity, and reducing inflammation and anxiety to nearly zero (being a mom, some levels of anxiety are always there, but how I deal with anxiety has changed).
As I pursue my path of helping people make a positive shift on their journey toward health, my hope with these sessions is to share at least some of the main principles of Ayurvedic wisdom with all of you.
One of the main concepts of Ayurveda that I’ve begun to absorb thus far is learning to listen to what my body is telling me... to recognize how I’m feeling and discover how to fix imbalances using all information that my senses are taking in.
I have a strong feeling that Ayurveda is exactly what I’ve been needing all this time. I’m vowing right now to make this practice a part of my life, and I want you all to come along for the journey.
According to the ancient yogis, the key to health is aligning with the rhythms of nature. When you do things is just as important as what you do. When you combine the ancient practices of yoga and ayurveda with modern behavioral science and deeply connected peer support, you give yourself your best chance at living the kind of life you want to live.
When your daily habits are simple, you enjoy greater depth, connectedness, success and creativity in other areas of your life. The more simple rituals you create, the more creative energy you free up. Having repetitive habits is incredibly energy efficient. By developing and automating your habits, you create a reservoir of energy and free up your potential in life
