BALANCE YOUR DOSHA AND BALANCE YOUR LIFE

BALANCE YOUR DOSHA AND BALANCE YOUR LIFE.
Balancing Your Health Through Ayurveda.
The Doshas or Bodily Constitutions (Mind-Body Type)
In Ayurveda, there are three main bodily constitutions, or doshas. Everyone has all three doshic energies in their body. Each person typically has one dominant dosha, while the two other doshas compliment the main dosha in varying degrees.
By knowing your Dosha, you can begin to understand what foods, exercises, activities, diets, including what you should/shouldn’t be eating and when. Ayurveda focuses on you, personally, so that you decide, whether a meal will work for you or not. like this. Each dosha has a set of both mental and physical characteristics. In today’s society, most of us have something that needs balancing and Ayurveda offers simple ways to meet your unique needs.
What would happen if your Dosha is out of balance:
Vata
When vata dosha is high, or out of balance, you will feel anxious. You’re plagued with worry and can’t seem to find calm. You think through many fears and discomforts and replay them in your mind. You feel stressed and even if you know a solid routine in your lifestyle could reduce some of your stress, you have trouble sticking to your efforts to add structure to your life. You’re forgetful. While you learn quickly, you’re unlikely to retain details.
Illnesses Related: chronic stress, anxiety, insomnia, gas/bloat, constipation or other elimination issues, bone and joint issues, nervous system issues, auto-immune disorders (including type I diabetes).
Pitta
When pitta is high, or out of balance, you feel angry. Your passion drives you to care about your causes, your profession, your purpose, and your relationships with intensity. You’re sensitive, hot, and emotional. You may have a “hot head” moment and make outbursts of your concerns. If you’re not angered by something, an imbalance of pitta also arrives in the form of criticism.
Illnesses Related:Inflammation-related diseases, skin issues of all types (acne, psoriasis, eczema, etc.), heartburn/acidity
Kapha
When kapha is high, or out of balance, you feel lethargic. Your calm transforms into slowness, dullness, and a desire to do nothing, results in depression and weight gain. You don't have the motivation to participate in activities, or change your routine for the better. Even physical exercise seems unfathomable.
Illnesses Related : Respiratory issues (asthma, bronchitis, congestion, etc.), obesity, type II diabetes.
As your constitution is such a major influence, understanding it is a powerful way to develop an effective practice. Vata, Pitta and Kapha are energetic forces that govern the tides of your life, and if you understand these forces, you can tune into the natural rhythms of the world, and make informed choices to help steer your life into healthful, harmonious directions.
At the time of consultation i wil take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of each dosha, and how you can use these to reach your highest potential through Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation.
I apply Ayurvedic principles to support individuals in customizing their diets to suit their unique body constitution. I will focus on bringing your body, mind and soul into a state of harmony by addressing the balance of your ayurvedic constitution.

We know doshas rule our bodies, but they also rule nature and the universe in the way of time and space. Just as the seasons have attributes of the doshas, so do the hours of the day. The doshic times of day play an important role in Ayurvedic medicine, as specific herbs and cleansing practices take advantage of the qualities present during those times. We can use these times to structure our day, and take advantage of the energies present in these specific time-frames.
Ayurveda and Cycles of Time: How the Doshas Rule the Day
Doshi Clock
There’s a vata, pitta and kapha time of day and a vata, pitta and kapha time of night. Understanding this allows you to choose activities, food choices, etc. that will support the dominant energy inside and around you at that time.
6AM – 10AM – Kapha time. The water element elevates. Secretions flow from the tissues to the GI tract.
10AM – 2PM – Pitta time. Pitta secretions increase in the GI tract, increasing digestive and transformative time.
2PM – 6PM – Vata time. Vata dominates, including greater movement. Elimination processes are more active.
6PM – 10PM – Kapha time.
10PM – 2AM – Pitta time
2AM – 6AM – Vata time
Every organ has a definite time of maximum functioning. Morning is the lung time, noon is stomach time, afternoon is liver time, and early night is colon and kidneys time.
if you get up in the morning before 6AM, which is Vata time, your meditation and communion with the Divine will be easier, as the clarity and spaciousness of Vata is more predominant at this time. Then, once the Kapha time begins at about 6AM, this water element aids the elimination of wastes, so cleansing practices will be more effective at this time.
As long as we are not living in harmony with our constitution we can’t really be healthy.
Have you ever found that if you sleep in, you feel heavy and sluggish all day? Or Do you sometimes wake up at 4 am worrying, and have a hard time falling back asleep?
So wherever you are on your journey through life, we hope that better understanding these stages of life empowers you to adapt your routines in ways that you find truly supportive and illuminating.
Vata, Pitta, and Kappa : How they combine and in what percentages make up a person’s inborn constitution. No two people share the same constitution. This natural unique balance of energy is essentially an energetic blueprint of the person on the physical and emotional level.
Through understanding the constitution we can predict where in the body weaknesses are likely to occur and thus take measures to prevent disease.
I can observe how the current balance of these energies is out of balance with their inborn ideal, and thus come to an understanding of how a disease took root in the body and began to grow. With this knowledge, regimes can be prescribed to reestablish balance and often reverse the effects.
Our constitution can be described as an energetic template of our genetic blueprint. Our genetics have been shown to be the basis of our individuality. Our genetics control how we are likely to react to our environment and can also be used to predict predispositions toward certain diseases.
They also determine our biochemical individuality. This individuality affects everything from our unique nutritional needs to how we respond to different drugs, foods, colors, aromas, temperatures and everything else in our environment.
Indeed, if we can understand our constitution, we can begin to take conscious control over our choices and choose those that will lead us toward optimal health.
Through an in-depth evaluation of your state of health, lifestyle practices and physical attributes, I will develop an understanding of your unique constitution and any root causes of imbalance or changes you may be experiencing.
Your constitution or Prakruti is the fundamental and unique balance of three basic energies called doshas. Your consultation will result in a report of findings and recommendations to start your path of healing.
Everything in nature is made up of five basic elements: space, air, fire, water and earth. Understanding them will allow you, the meditator, to appreciate the laws of nature and to use this form of wellbeing to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness.
