ANCIENT WISDOM OF AYURVEDA

Ancient Wisdom of Ayurveda.. Balanced Ojas...Increase Energy and the Prevention of Diseases
Unlocking Your Natural Vitality with the Wisdom of Ayurveda..
Introducing Importance of Ayurveda In Our Life..
Why is Ayurveda so important now, in our ever increasing fast-paced society, than ever before?
What benefits should I expect to experience while adapting to the principles of Ayurveda?
I live a very busy life, how will I ever find the time to incorporate Ayurveda into my daily life?
Ayurveda is particularly concerned with the cultivation of awareness and practices that improve digestion and metabolism (Agni), reduce the accumulation of undigested or poorly digested food toxins in the body (Ama), strengthen the immune system (Ojas) and keep the mind and body peaceful (Sattva) - to prevent the development of disease and maintain optimal health. It teaches us to view our bodies as a reflection of nature and how to live in greater harmony with the cycles of the day, year and life.
We all have the capacity for more mindful living, but we need to support it by what we choose to eat, think, and do. We need to create an inner environment that is not constantly reacting mentally and physically, and forever seeking minute-to-minute antidotes, to poor choices of food and behaviour. A mindful life will never 'take-off' if all our energy is going into coping with a body and mind full of agitating foods. Diet and lifestyle must support our efforts towards peace of mind and clarity of purpose. Mind and body need to work with, not against, each other. Living this way gives us the tools to re-develop confidence in ourselves and our choices.
As we move through life we experience three different stages that relate to the doshas. Each stage is an evolution of development and takes place gradually; as one stage develops, the other begins to dissipate.Another important concept in Ayurvedic medicine is that illnesses and diseases are caused by an imbalance of the dosas. Therefore, the goal of treatment within the system of Ayurvedic medicine is the re-balancing of these three doshas.
Modern life as we know it, with its excessive travel, late nights, and nonstop stimulation, often contributes to vata derangement, which can affect anyone, because our native constitutions are vata dominant.
According to Ayurveda, a key element in maintaining harmony, and preventing disease, is cultivating and balancing ojas, an energetic material found within the physical body and the mental body.
Ojas plays a crucial role in one’s physical well being. Ojas is responsible for sustaining life and it regulates the body’s physiological balance..Ojas is a very elusive and mysterious substance in the body, but like agni, it is absolutely essential to life. Ojas is the subtle essence of both kapha dosha and of all the bodily tissues—and it is said to be responsible for one’s strength, vigor, vitality, and immunity.
Physical signs of healthy ojas include:
Glowing Skin...Energy upon waking...Enthusiasm and joy for living....Body feels light and vibrant....Digestion is strong and thorough...No bloating in the stomach....Clear pink tongue with no coating....Body odor smells good......Body does not get sick very often
