AYURVEDA NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

Ayurvedic New Year Resolutions For Optimal Health In 2019..
New Year, New You & Get Healthy Through Ayurveda!
Welcome to the next generation of Ayurveda...
Ayurveda remains alive today and is more relevant now than ever before. Our mission for Ayurveda is to spread this ancient knowledge around the world.
According to ancient teachings of Ayurveda, every aspect of our life contributes to our overall health and well-being. In essence, Ayurveda considers good health as being a state of balance. By obtaining this unique state of balance and well-being we can resolve nearly all the common New Year’s Resolutions.
Ayurveda teaches that it is what we do on a daily, consistent basis that is the greatest determiner of our health. So by embracing healthy lifestyle choices, and eliminating unhealthy patterns, you’re helping to make sure that you’re creating a life of health rather than disease.
So what kinds of choices might this include?
Go to bed by 10:00 pm and get up by about 6 am
Eat primarily organic food
Eat according to your dosha (vata, pitta or kapha)
Eat your meals in a calm, peaceful environment
Massage with abhyanga oil each day.
Scrape your tongue each morning
Meditate daily
Avoid sensory over-indulgence
You don’t have to do all of this. But perhaps choose two things, and do your best to make them a regular part of your daily routine. In six months, take another look at the list and perhaps choose two more. By the end of the year, you may find that you have completely transformed your health and your consciousness! Ayurveda teaches that even just one small change, consistently practiced, can create huge positive ripple effects in body and mind…
Once you know this, what helps you tick, you need a set of guidelines which will work for you – and every year you can align a little more with those. When January rolls around every year, you might need a little shift, a slight tweak here and there, but once you know your body, your life will be transformed.
Discuss symptoms of imbalance and learn how to bring yourself back into balance with asana, food, meditation, self care and morning rituals.
Practice specific asana (yoga poses) for dosha balancing.
Practice specific pranayama (yoga breathing) for dosha balancing.
Discuss how to transition with ease through daytime, seasonal, and lifetime transitions.
Create Space and Time to Take Care of Yourself.
Carve a little time in your day.....it can be five or fifteen minutes or an hour, whatever works—to do something you love. Be grateful every day. Before starting your day, connect with your inner self and feel grateful for everything that you have: your life, your health, your loved ones, your house, your job.
Give yourself a rest and your health a boost during the turn of the year with relaxing calm and an energizing detox with Ayurveda.
Indulge yourself with an Ayurvedic body treatment with Ayurvedic oils.
Listen to your body:
Your body is more intelligent than you thought. It talks to us, signals us and naturally heals us. May be we aren’t wise enough to listen when it starts talking to us. The day we patiently listen to our body’s needs, we add more life to our years and more years to our life!
Reduce stress, eat well, sleep more, exercise and stay fit.
Exercise
Incorporate exercises that are recommended for your doshic imbalance.

GUIDED BY AYURVEDA IN THE NEW YEAR
We can learn from the past but the hope of a better tomorrow is what drives us forward in life. Most of us become reflective at this time of year and set many new goals for the coming year. Health related goals such as losing weight, exercising more and eating better are probably some of the most common New Year resolutions.
One of the best typical health goal in New Yeas is “Lose Weight”
Again many people make this New Year resolution year after year often with minimal success! Losing weight is the objective but the goal should be to change habits that are not allowing your body to lose weight. For assured success weight loss goals have to be bite-sized and easy to achieve lifestyle or eating habit changes like
If you focus on changing your habits then your weight will go down gradually as long as you keep changing habits. Remember, after you have achieved one new habit, then work on another one. With good eating habits and more physical activity you will see improvement. (I must say however, that detoxification particularly of the colon and liver along with proper nutrition are also essential to reach a healthy weight.)
